These terms explain how a shop lists a deal and how click charges are calculated. Read them before submitting a listing.
Listings and approval
You must be authorised to represent the shop and to supply its product text, images, prices and links. You are responsible for accurate NZD prices, a genuine usual selling price higher than the deal price, stock, deal terms and a genuine offer expiry. Do not use misleading savings or time-limited claims. We review listings before publication and may reject, pause or remove inaccurate or unsuitable content. A submitted listing is not yet public.
How a billable click works
When a visitor opens a live deal through Jalapeno, the outbound redirect records the visit and sends them to your shop. A visit is eligible to be billed when it is a normal page navigation to a live, available, unexpired deal, passes basic crawler and prefetch checks, and the same deal/browser and network fingerprint has not already qualified in the preceding 24 hours. This is a fraud-reduction estimate, not proof of a unique person, lead or purchase. You pay NZ$0.10 per billable click plus GST, up to the maximum NZD click-spend budget you set for that deal. The account shows estimates and raw visits separately. Your own account preview is not billed.
Budget, stopping and payments
At the click budget, Jalapeno stops sending new visitors through that deal. You may pause or stop an advert without triggering a separate charge; usage already accrued remains in your shop-level unbilled balance. A valid payment method is required before new deals can go live. Jalapeno automatically charges the saved payment method when unbilled click usage reaches NZ$25.00 (plus GST), and settles any remaining balance at month end. If an automatic payment fails, Jalapeno may pause live advertising until the payment method is updated and payment can be completed. Card details are collected and stored by our payment provider; Jalapeno does not store full card numbers or CVCs.
Changes and questions
Changes to these terms apply to future submissions, not to an already agreed click price or budget. For billing questions, use our contact page with your deal title and invoice details. Buyers purchase directly from the shop and the shop handles fulfilment, returns and consumer enquiries.
